What’s striking about the Couvent de Minimes is the decor’s appropriate simplicity. The visitor immediately has the feeling of arriving at a friend’s place, to which he’s been invited for a long weekend. The Convent is managed without pretention, respecting its 400 year history as much as its relaxing austerity. The old stone is married with a décor of natural tones, light wood and wrought iron. A Refined Décor

The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary influenced of the convent and its surroundings until 2007. It was then that the Couvent de Minimes was transformed into a chic but discreet hotel and spa symbolizing the comforts of Provence. Apart from the beautiful building, the Couvent de Minimes is a domain devoted to nature. Historically, the place has been intimately connected to botany: constructed in 1613 for the Minimes nuns, the community was dedicated to studying local plants, developing a garden whose produce was destined as much for private consumption as for study.
