After seven months of renovations, the 180 square meter site – kept in a raw state with its black floorboards, cracked paint and old graffiti on the walls – has just been decorated with a thousand and one lights. In its heart like a focal point, a monochrome glass element, painted yellow, stretches in a single line from floor to ceiling and leads you on your visit. WATT is a collective of four artists and designers specialized in lighting. Here you’ll only find only one-offs or small series, conceived in the studio part of the space. Each person has their style and specialty, from waxed paper origami to working with wood

and glass, to found objects, or hijacked industrial pieces. A production site, everyone works with wood and metal, puts objects together and also collaborates with a glass blower from the International Centre of Research on Glass & Visual Arts (CIRVA) for the glass elements. An exhibition space, they put their works in dialogue with those of other artists for exhibitions of painting, photography or engravings, like after-work parties… Nice excuses for coming back and seeing if the light is still on!
