This year again the program at Cannes’ Palais des Festivals is action-packed. The city of Cannes has the honor to welcome one of the most important and most famous French photographers of the last 20 years, Jean-Daniel Lorieux. A myth of photography, a master of the pictorial arts, Jean-Daniel Lorieux is a key figure of the artistic and creative landscape. And to prove it, for over 20 years he’s collaborated with the biggest names in fashion and magazines: Vogue, L’Officiel, Paco Rabanne, Dior, Lanvin... and many others.
After exhibiting at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, he will be in Cannes for a show presenting a series of glamorous photos: portraits of actors, politicians, color snapshots, works resulting from his numerous collaborations… A mini retrospective of his work these past years, supported by the agency Sigma, and on show through to 16 August in the Toscan rooms.
