Arman moves in to Baux de Provence
The village of Les Baux de Provence welcomes a major exhibition of Arman’s work, which has already been presented in such internationally reputed institutions as the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Tinguely Museum in Basel. With an original and intimate perspective that draws on the notion of the circuit or trail, the exhibition takes the visitor to the heart of the Renaissance heritage of the old city in order to discover Arman’s very contemporary works in reconstitutions of the actual places they were created. Introductory workshops are available to children several times a day for the duration of the exhibition. In the evening, the facades of the village are lit up by nocturnal projections that further reveal the dialogue between stone and art.
