About : Almond

The almond tree blossoms every summer producing white and pink flowers. The "fruit" of this tree is technically not a nut but a "drupe" which is made of a hard outer shell and the edible seed inside. Native to the Mediterranean, the delicious taste of almonds has been discovered by many cultures around the world, which use the nut in all manner of recipes and desserts.

More than a Tasty Treat

Almonds are an exceptionally tasty nut. An excellent source of protein and vitamin E, almonds are used in many countries to cook and bake. Additionally, the almond has toning and firming properties as well as an enchanting and soothing scent which makes it an ideal ingredient in skincare products and treatments. The seeds of these wonderful fruits are packed with nutrients and vitamins that, when used in skincare products, are easily absorbed and incredibly effective.

Almonds are a French Delight

Provence was, towards the end of the 19th century, the world's biggest producer of almonds and the region still offers the ideal environment for growing them. The chalky, stony soil and the sunshine of Provence are the perfect ingredients to give almonds their delightful flavor.
